Hi!
I’ll be at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market tomorrow with some eggplant, potatoes, hot peppers and wheat – and our grassfed Angus beef in these cuts:
filet, ribeye, NY Strip, sirloin, flank, skirt, flat iron, flap, ground beef, stew, cube steak, philly steak, short ribs, osso bucco, brisket, soup bones, eye of round roast, chuck roast, sirloin tip roast.
The field behind our alfalfa field is planted in cotton and it’s so pretty. Once cotton is ready to harvest they spray it with a defoliant to kill all the green stuff so there’s nothing green and wet to clog up the cotton picker, but they hadn’t sprayed this field yet. I took lots of photos. I just think it’s so cool. So I have some new cotton notecards haha and I made some big prints for our wall.
So Shane wants me to keep coming to the market with the beef til it’s gone. We have a couple market size steers left and he says if you take them to the auction sale you lose a lot of money, as opposed to selling feeder calves. I’ll be there off and on I guess until they’re gone.
Loving this weather! See you tomorrow 🙂
