Market Stuff for September 21.

Happy Fall! I was hoping we’d be taking a break this weekend but we didn’t make any fun plans so I’ll be there tomorrow!

I’ll be at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market tomorrow with:

Chestnuts, hibiscus roselles (for tea), muscadine grapes, Rosa Bianca Italian eggplant, biquinho hot peppers, sweet banana peppers, jalepenos, bell peppers, carola potatoes and hard red winter wheat.  I’ll have our 100% grass fed & grass finished black Angus beef in these cuts:

filet, sirloin steaks, flap steak, philly steak, cube steak, ground beef, stew beef, short ribs, sirloin tip roast, eye of round roast, boneless chuck roast, soup bones. Hot dogs are here!!

Ground beef special this weekend – Buy 5 lbs, get 1 lb free.

Bulk pricing on our beef: quarters, halves and wholes – $3.50 lb hang weight plus the cost of processing (.85/lb), and almost half-quarters – not quite 1/8 of a cow (60 lbs) for $466. This is a great savings over the regular price you pay per piece, but quarters, halves and wholes are still the best deal.

It’s so dry and dust is covering EVERYTHING and everyone in sight. It looks like the combine is on fire. Shane finished cutting soybeans and hauled the last load in this afternoon. He’s been getting up at 4 am, taking a load to Kershaw then coming back and cutting til dark all week so I know he’s glad to be done.

See you tomorrow!
